Love the shoes! The paper folding was a cool tip. Thanks.
Not seen these copic’s used before. I usually use promarkers. But i might give it a try. Thanks for both video’s. Love your tutorials.
love love love both these cards. not only cute, but look fun to do. thanks for sharing. anita
The card is cute, but too time consuming to color the hearts.
i agree the shoes are the cutest. I need to look at getting that cartridge.
I rememeber this one- It had me wanting the markers- very cute š
Sarah
This card is SO cute. Love the shoes and your choice of other embellishments. Missed this one before so glad I got to see it now. Thanks.
very cute card.
Great instructions. Love the shoes.
Two wonderful videos, I think I’ll break out my watercolor pencils and play with them! Cute card with the shoes too š
I’m learning so much!!!! Thank you.
Love the paper pleating!
That was great to see the Copics demo as I’ve been wondering what they are about. I LOVE the shoe card – super cute and adding the glitter inside just made them super adorable! Thanks so much for your videos!
I’ve heard so much about Copics but this is the first demo I have seen. They look awesome!
I love that you showed the difference between the two techniques! I’ve seen where some cardmakers are certified copic instructors. Thank you for making what I love to do less intimidating and more accessible for another SAHM with limited resources!
Thanks for sharing, but I really liked the second one with the shoes that doesn’t count! Haha.
Great ideas! It’s nice to know you don’t have to be so neat and accurate and it can still look great. I end up not doing new things because of that. Thanks!
Thanks so much for showing how to use the Copic markers. I had been looking at them and wondered whether the expense would be worth it. I actually like the effect of the Prismacolors and mineral spirits better, even if it is a bit more work to blend.
Love the card. The shoes are adorable! Thanks for showing the pleating technique. I have done it with ribbon but not paper and I love the way it looks!
Thanks for showing the difference in the markers, but it seemed a little time consuming. The heels are very cute. Wish list for that cartridge.
Thanks for showing the difference between the copic and the prisma pens. I have the prismas but haven’t used them yet-think I’ll try the technique today.
Love the pleaating tip. Thanks
I LOVE the shoes! I like that u are showing these videos. I haven’t seen these before. The ink hearts were too cute to I had not seen those in the craft stores where I live.
Always enjoy your videos, Meagan. Thanks again for all you do.
Love Love Love the shoe card! THe accordian technique is so simple, yet so awesome looking!
I also loved learning about the two different markers.. Thanks so much for all of the cool ideas ~ and keep em comin!
Thank you for showing copics vs prismacolors. I love the look of copics, but prismacolor looks just as good and they are much less expensive.
This was a great idea for my granddaughter who is obsessed with high heels. Thanks for the lesson.
I love the shoes…super cute! Also, enjoyed your videos! Thanks Megan!
Sherrie K.
Thanks for the coloring portion of this post, I have been wondering. Does the Oderless Mineral Sprits make the colors darker or was that because you used darker colors?
I remember this! Love the shoe one!
Love the shoe card. Thanks for the tips.
Need the markers! Love the blending technique. And the paper ribbon, is very cute. And easy too. That is very important to me. PS. I also learned a little about using my Cricut for the layers. I really need to watch my A to Z video!
I am so GLAD to see this video on the Copics…I’ve been wondering just exactly what they do that makes them soooo expensive…But at least thanks to you, we have a alternative until we can save our little scrapping pennies!!!! Also..Forever Young is also one of my favorite carts. AND I love that you have a red cricut…I ordered one the day after Thanksgiving….love my little ‘Scarlet O’Hara’ ha ha….I gave my Pink one to my daughter…she is estactic that’s for sure. Thank you for re-posting your videos since I did not find you until late in the year. Happy New Year.
oops,I got so excited over your videos…that I forgot to tell you. That it is perfect that you had the video on the Copics today, because I just got a e-mail for the Creating Keepsakes Convention coming in April…and they’re going to be holding classes on the Copic Markers… so this was just perfect timing today to see what they were all about, and to most likely sign up for a class.
Thanks for the coloring technique video. The shoe card is adorable. Thanks for spotlighting these videos again.
Just wondering why you used OMS on watercolor pencils and not just use water? I thought OMS was used specifically on wax based Prisma or Koh-i-noor pencils where it “melts” the wax, blending the color. I also use baby oil with my wax based pencils. curious.
I love both of these videos. I wish I had all the supplies you do! Why don’t you put all your videos on a disk and sell it, I’d definately buy one.
Fun to see the different techniques for coloring. Am new to all this so it is nice to see different ideas. Loved the shoes too!!
Love love love the paper pleating technique. I will definitely be “borrowing” that idea. Thanks!
I love the pleating technique. I remember using it after viewing it the first time around. I’m not so sure I need the Copic markers. I’ve heard and even saw a couple of videos on how to use them by googling. Maybe for the die hard artist, for me, the zig markers seem to do the trick.
I have just started using copic markers and love how they blend together. They are pricey but worth every penny. Thanks for sharing the different options.
LOVE the card!!!!!
The shoe card was really cute! Enjoyed seeing the pleating which I tried after you first showed this video.
I just love using up scraps! Thanks for the ideas.
What a cute card!!
Maybe 2011 will be the year for me to get some markers!
I have the Forever Young cart and have never used it. I really like the card you made and now I have an idea of what I can do with the cart. Thanks for showing this again. I didn’t have my Cricut in March! LOL!
Thanks so much for your inspiration. It is so wonderful watching how everything goes together. I have the “baby bug” and so far it’s been fine but I think I’d like to save my pennies for the expression someday.
I love the shoes!
Need the cart, need the markers. Need it all and it’s a long time till next Christmas.
Just love everything you do: I am learning soooo much….Thanks for the Cute Shoe Card….love the pleating and have just received my first copics so thanks for showing how you use them….Happy New Year to all…we are one day ahead of you here…cheers..to all.
That card reminds me of my daughter so much… have to borrow your idea as it is so her!
Thanks! I cant believe I missed it before!
Since I am new to scrapbooking (did a little back about 15 years ago), I appreciate the reminders. I believe I have some of these pencils stuck back with my old supplies. May have to get them back out and do a little playing. Thanks!
Love the pleating – use to do it – kind of forgot about it – thanks for reminding me. My next card will have pleating. Thanks for the video – love the card too!
I love your videos!! I always learn so much.
nice card. I must start working with the water colors
Both cards are simply adorable. I especially love the shoes and the pleated technique. Love your videos, learning so much! Sandra
What an adorable card that cartridge has a lot to offer.
OK, so I am really loving that high heel shoe card you made. It is TOO CUTE! I am so glad I just bought the Forever Young cartridge!! I love the look of the pleating of the paper strips too. I am going to have to try that. I’ve only really thought of ribbon pleats but I really like the idea of the paper. As for the coloring, it was nice to see a comparison. I think I like the COPIC look better as it is more “smooth” but I can’t really afford those COPIC markers so I will have to stick with my watercolor pencils! š
Thanks for sharing. I dont have copic and I dont think I will get them $$$. This helps me be grateful and use what I do have.
OMG I love this cart and have never made anything with it! You have unlocked my world with this cart THANKS!~
VERY CUTE!!! I really appreciate all the techniques as well as learning about new products.
THANKS!!!
My mom has the copik markers and absolutely loves them.
Simple and sweet all wrapped up in one. Thanks Megan for your efforts to create with what looks like simple and easy. Hope it is. Loved it. I loved the trick with raising the heels by adding extra glue dots for that issue. You are a gem.
I’m not to good at the coloring part, but you make it look so simple. The shoes are really neat, I love this catridge.
LOve Love Love this card! I can’t wait to try and make it! I have to get this cartridge too! Thank you for your inspiration!
Yet another item to add to my “must have” list! Thanks for showing us how to use the markers!
Why did you use mineral spirits instead of water on the heart? I am a watercolorist as well as scraper. I have never heard of doing this. I liked the card. can we save the videos?
It is amazing what a little doodling and coloring adds to the detail of a cut.
sc gma
love the cards! Also, i lke the prismacolor look as much as the copic. very pretty!
LOVE the pleated paper technique!!! I’m off to my craft room to give it a try right now!!!
way cute š
Love the shoes and the card

Cheers
Catie
I had heard about Copics being great but now I realize how much I need them!
Don’t know how I missed this the other day, but I’m sure glad I watched the video this evening. I have just purchased Copic markers and don’t really know how to use them. I appreciate this video for the lesson on using the Copic and the watercolor pencils.
I have to say that I didnt even know about the copics until I watched your video. Am glad that I found you.. I need a lot of help.. and thanks to you and all your helpful hints and ideas am getting the help I need.. š thank you

Just got some new copics for Christmas, LOVE THEM! Can’t wait to use them on some projects. TFS!
Really cute idea!
Thanks for the reminder
I love the pleated paper. Great Job
I just got a small set of 12 of the copic markers for Christmas. I guess now I will have to give them a try as the look so good!! Pinkalicious Hugs, Jonnie
I remember this video – it was so inspiring I went and purchased the colored pencils and the mineral oil – and did this a couple of times! Thanks for refreshing a great idea.
What’s the best way to break the news to my hubby that I absolutely must have that Forever Young cartridge?? Love it!
Your videos always inspire me to try new techniques!! Thanks, Megan!!
This inspired me to do a Boutique line. Fun
Thank you for showing the difference between the two markers and the shading. and I just got the Forever Young cartridge, now off to make some cards!
I remember seeing the markers and putting them on my list – but now I just want to get pics on pages easily.
Love these ideas. Thanks for sharing!
My sis in law LOVES shoes and while I was watching I kept thinking of so many projects I could do for her!! Thanks !
thanks for sharing
My mother in law wants to make cards with her. I’ll hve to remember this one.
I’ve used that paper folding technique several times now! Thanks for the idea
Thank You for all you do! Very much appreciated.
Inspiration!! Teaching several techniques for the same affect saves us so much money. We can adjust the idea to the supplies we have on hand. Thanks!
I love how you did both the copic and the pencils, I have both, but since I started with the copics I just never think about the pencils…You got me thinking??? Thanks
Angela (nana220@aol.com)
I have requested some copics for my birthday on January 7th.
I have got to get me some Copic markers and try this myself. I remember the video of the high heel shoes and I still love it. Hey, shoes are what makes a woman.
Shoe card is adorable. Love the folded paper.
cool card, but too detailed for my time spent card making!!
You can never have too many shoes ;0) Ca-ute card!
this is a great tutorial for my water color pencils, and also for a beginner for what is possible with what you have on hand, love the ribbon paper effect
very nice
It was interesting to see the difference. I didn’t realize you could use a blender pencil to work with the prisma pencils. Cool effect.
Love how you put the holded paper together
Love this card – have lifted this idea several times – great for lots of occasions!!! I am still using the markers from Stampin Up – when they go dry or run out i am sure to get the Prisma
Thanks for all the neat ideas and tips!
Just begun to use my Cricut. Bought it to cut fabric for applique and here I am in a whole different area. Thanks for all the info and great ideas. All of the tuts are great. The “shoes and markers” get my vote”. Thank you.
Cute Card. I agree with you that they turn out pretty much the same. I think the Prismas are easier to work with too.
Hi Megan,
First time seeing these videos. Loved the shoes.

I have never used the mineral spirits I have always done my watercolor blending with a damp paintbrush. This effect was really nice, have to add this new goodie to my craft supplies. Thanks.
Love this tutorial. It is amazing what the depth of color difference is when using the two. Thanks for sharing.
Very informative! Thanks!

I can’t wait to try these techniques for Valentine’s day cards! Your videos encourage me to try new things. Thank you so much!
I’m a Copic girl, but it was nice to see the comparison between them and the PRismacolors. I do like my Copics better though (good thing, since I have a lot invested in them!)
Very nice card. I have not ventured into markers as of yet. Thanks for the information.

The shoes are great but I really thought the hearts where to much work for the results. Always great to see how products work. Thank you
Thanks for showing us your techniques.
Video 1: All I’ve ever tried is watercolors. Copic Markers look pretty cool. Might have to get some (funds permitting).
Video 2: Cute card. I don’t have the Forever Young cartridge, but I do have shoes on one of my cartridges. Now I have an idea of what to do with them. Thanks!
Just bought the Forever Young Cartridge:)
I have heard a lot of people mention Copic markers but I didn’t know anything about them…..now I want to try them!! Thank you for the wonderful video!
Thanks for sharing both videos. I really liked how you compared the Copic markers to the Prisma pencils. Your card is so cute! Love the colors that you used.
Gotta Love those shoes! Great choice of colors and I really like the paper pleating idea. TFS
Wow! So many great videos…and this one is particularly good for me, because I have the prismacolor pencils and never new about the technique with the Gamsol!
Thank-you for all your great videos!
I was traveling when you posted all your videos, I hope I can retain all this info I am learning today! Love the pleated paper! Have seen it, but didn’t know exactly how it was done, now I do! TFS!
And the Copics, hmmm, I think I have to stick with the pencils for now, been holding out, I was ‘forced’ to use one at a Christmas Open House at our LSS, loved it! But similar results with your side by side comparison. When I master the pencils, I will maybe move up into the Copic world!
Cute card. Diane
Thanks so much for the ideas, just got some Copics and it’s nice to see you don’t have to be so precise when using them.
Thanks so much for all this info! It helps to have the info before you buy š
Loved both of these videos! Thanks for showing the difference between markers and colored pencils – very helpful tip to me. Loved those shoes! I want a pair just like that š
I remember watching this one!!! I love to use markers too…. and of course my prisma pencils. Thanks again for sharing.

The shoes are just adorable. I really learned how to use the watercolred pencils in a diferent way. TFS
Thank you for all your information—I find it so useful—-Nancy
Just LOVE the shoes! I can’t afford the Copics yet, so thanks for showing both ways.

TFS. I am considering getting into markers so this video was really helpful.
This looks fun. I’ll have to try it. However, I am no artist. It looks so easy when you do it Megan.
I’ve not used either marker sets but they both look really nice. Thanks for the comparison.
I can’t wait ti try the different strips of paper idea. I want to try the copic markers too.
What women doesn’t like ideas for shoes? Great, thanks,
I personally use PrismaColors, although I would much rather have me a good set of Copics.
I have not used either one of these products so it was nice to see a copics vs prismacolors tutorial, I think that I may have to add these to my wish list š
my daughter just loves shoes my next cartridge will be this one thankyou Barbx
