Snow Day Challenge #3 – Thank You 24

I had to take time to say THANK YOU!  This was a card I made quite a long time ago with a friend who I am thankful for.

In this snow day I had some time to talk with my kids about what we are thankful for.  We talked about our warm house and warm food for lunch, we talked about our family and our friends, we talked about our car and our beds and music and Bensen said “Choo Choos”…and in the fun and midst of all of that I started thinking how thankful I am for ALL of YOU!!!

YES YOU!!!!!  My support and encouragement and inspiration for Above Rubies Studio!  SO I HAVE TO THANK YOU!

My challenge is:

  • Make something to say Thank-You to someone else
  • Tell us something you are Thankful for THIS Moment
  • Make a Layout of things you are Thankful for!

There you have it 😉

I think that is all the challenges I am going to post for today’s snow day – but hopefully when it stops coming down so hard out there, I’ll get into my studio and make some really great new videos and stuff!  Have many ideas floating around, just have to get in there to film them! 🙂

Have a BLESSED AND THANKFUL NIGHT and I’ll see you my friends, later this week!

I know I am not the only one out here. We are have many snow days in Kentucky this month. This card is so cute. I have so many “Thank You’s” that I could never send enough cards out. I want to “Thank You” for the inspiration in using the Expression machine, projects, and the helpful paper guide I use all the time. Trying to order some cardstock so I can continue to make cards and scrapbook pages.

I am thankful and bless for the wonderful picture the higher power has painted even though it cause power outage for me, the snow is still pretty. I am thankful that my family, friends, and others are doing the best they can in this weather. I just feel bless and thankful for a lot.

The snow finally quit here in Iowa, so I’m very thankful for that. I’m very thankful for my family and that my kids have grown into very wonderful adults. My parents still have fairly good health and we have all the necessities we need. Like jobs!

I’m thankful that we don’t have snow in Colorado (Denver Area) as we have an event to work tomorrow. Come next week I wouldn’t mind a few snow days!!!

GREAT challenges! I’m thankful because I live in South Florida where it’s MUCH warmer and no snow! And I’m thankful because my DD just told us she’s pregnant with our 3rd grandchild! (It’s her 2nd.) YIPPEEEEEEE!!! 🙂 And I’m also very thankful for Above Rubies that keeps me challenged in my scrappy life. 🙂

Congratulations Ginni! Grandchildren are great. I only have one, 2 1/2 named Danny, and a little devil. He doesn’t give my daughter a moment to relax. Isn’t it nice to have grandchildren? When they’re cranky or out of control, they get to go home – lol !! I’m so grateful that I have him. One daughter is unmarried and the other only plans on having one and he was a surprise. They didn’t think she could get pregnant so he’s really a blessing.

Thank you for who you are and God’s Blessing upon you and your family.
It is raining here in the Pacific Northwest. My flowers are starting to bloom so I hope we don’t get hit with cold weather. I love the snow and hope all stays well with your family.

After reading your challenge today it made start thinking of my neighbors across the street. We have received about 40″ of snow since last weekend and he has been so kind and thoughtful to me in helping digging me out. My driveway is 166′ long and he had someone clear out all the snow and even today he came by and cleared off my porch. I need to get my act together and send him an big bunches of thanks!

There are so many things I am thankful for that I can’t list them all here but like so many others here, I am thankful that I found Above Rubies Studio. I have always had a sort of knack for artistic endeavors (I’m thankful to the Almighty for that) but Megan, you have inspired me to try some things I had not attempted before and you have encouraged me to use my Cricut and other paper crafting tools even more. And I’m working on my very first scrapbook layouts… how’s that for being inspired? LOL It’s been one heck of a week for me but with a little luck and if my muse is cooperative, I should have them finished tomorrow! Yay!

I have so much for which to be thankful — a husband that is my best friend, a son, my 7 rescued dachshunds, creative and inspiring friends, a job which I truly love. After our daughter was killed in a car crash a few years ago, I found it difficult to be thankful for ANYTHING. But through that experience, I’ve learned to really pay attention to those small special moments in life and thank God for each and every one of them. Megan, burn these precious snow day moments into your heart. Years from now you will still remember how grateful you are for a warm lunch — a smile.

I would have to say that I am thankful for my 4 boys and my dear husband. I have had some medical issues recently and my hubby and my oldest son have taken such great care of me. I am also thankful for the two friends that I have met on my road and the generosity of these ladies. During my medical issues they both have steped up to help with my kids and even come and clean my house. That is what you call true friendship.

  • Lilla

I would like to thank you again for the many things you share and that you and your family are generous and grateful. Hope your medical condition improves.

  • Mable

You’ve made some good points there. I looked on the internet to learn more about the issue and found most individuals will go along with your views on this web site.
