Love 2 Pieces – Paper Scraps Layout

22 February
Monday, 22 February 2010 21:19 Written by Megan Elizabeth 64 Comments

Paper Piecing and Mosaic Photos, that is what this Scrapbook Layout is all about.

I used my Purple Cow Rotary Cutter to slice up my photos and some paper scraps to have fun with this layout that took just over 15 minutes to put together start to finish.

I used Paper from K and Company, DCWV and Best Occasions.  I used my first white gel pen for scrapbooking to add some faux stitching on my scrapbook page.  I also really love using these black textured vinyl Thickers – SO fun for those who don’t own Cricut – I absolutely recommend picking up Thickers to complete page titles and much more!

I hope you can pick up a few tips and tricks, even if this page isn’t exactly your “style”.

Thanks so much for taking time to watch Above Rubies Studio and supporting me in this fantastic hobby we all share!

How much does that purple cow cost Megan? I’m jealous. It looks so much better than my cricut paper trimmer.

    Megan,

Thanks for the video. I love, love, love the look of piecing a photo. The entire page is great. Nice how you used scraps on other aspects of the page to tie it all in- if I only my mind was that creative!!

Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the comments :)

I actually got my Purple Cow out at CHA! :) The Purple Cow people and I were neighbors and when they saw me using my little personal trimmer that I’ve been using they gave it too me! :) I was so excited because it came with like 12 other blades and it locks in place.

I did see that they had this Cutter at AC Moore, and I believe you can order online. http://www.ACMoore.com :)

YOu can see everything Purple Cow has to offer at http://www.PurpleCows.com
