Cricut DVD Surprise! And Enter to WIN!

Ok, so I have kept you all waiting and wondering what REALLY is going on, so now I’m going to officially TELL YOU if you haven’t already figured it out!!! :) *MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS WHOLE POST! OK?!*

Above Rubies Studio, as you may or may not know, hired a professional video crew to come in over the weekend, set up fancy sound, lighting and a real nice camera (made me feel all celebrity like or something! Just Kidding! :) ) and we started filming what will be at least a 2 hour Cricut Educational/Instructional DVD.

This video will start post-production this week and we plan to have it to you just in time for Christmas so everyone that Santa is bringing a Cricut to will know JUST HOW TO USE IT!!  And those who have a Cricut will learn how to get MORE from it!

This video is going to cover very basics, through intermediate Cricuting, up to some advanced cuts, along with tons of tips and tricks along the way.  We also are going to include a Projects Gallery in this Video and this is where YOU COME IN! :)

ENTER FOR YOUR CHANCE TO BE FEATURED AS A GUEST DESIGNER IN THE CRICUT DVD!

Contest runs from Novmber 8, 2009  until November 25, 2009.

Here is How to Enter!

  • Use your Cricut to Create Stunning and Amazing; Scrapbook Pages, Cards, Home Decor, or ANYTHING you can think of. (You can also use work that you’ve already created.)
  • Take High Resolution pictures of your creations
  • Send those pictures to – dvdcontest@aboverubiesstudio.com
  • Include your name and email address in the picture entry (so we know who sent what)
  • Also include a list of materials used and any special techniques or instructions to your project
  • You may enter as many times as you would like before the deadline (1 project = 1 entry)

What do I get if I win?

If your work is selected, you will be notified by e-mail along with a copy of a release form to be able to feature your work in our photo gallery on the DVD and other publications.  This will give you mass exposure and awesome crop bragging rights!

If your work is selected to be featured, you will also be entered for a chance to win several spectacular prizes to come, and a copy of the DVD.

So start creating and I can NOT WAIT to see ALL of your AWESOME entries!!!!

    So for anyone who has said, “I’m not talented enough” – I DO NOT want to hear it!!! ;) You are your own worst Critics and I would LOVE to see your work!!! It will enter you for a chance to win FANTASTIC Prizes that I am not yet revealing – even if your work doesn’ “make it” into the final DVD Cut. So you have NOTHING to loose! ;)

    Also,
    the DVD WILL be released on the 1st of December – that will give us time to tidy up the post production work AND get YOUR Work into the Project Gallery for hundreds of thousands of viewers to notice! :)

    Oh JUST In CASE you missed it – we also put up a PRE-ORDER button so that you can reserve your copy to be sure we don’t sell OUT before Christmas – We have a large order ready to go – but we want to make sure no one misses out – ESPECIALLY before Christmas!!!!!!!!!! :)

      I KNOW! It’s a TOTALLY crazy and IRONIC coincidence! BUT we actually are doing two totally different things! :) I’m sure EVERYONE will want them BOTH! Robyn TOTALLY ROCKS and I am SO happy that we are both going to be able to provide this to THOUSANDS of Cricut users all over the World! :)

      Just to clarify for those who were wondering the difference,
      Robyn’s DVD is really project focused just like all her Youtube videos are – TOTALLY awesome!!! :) Her video is in pre-order right now at CustomCrops.com and will be shipping around the 30th of Novemeber.

      AboveRubiesStudio.com DVD is going to be hours of fun in learning the Cricut. Everything from turning it on to making advanced cuts. We’ll be making LOTS of projects within the DVD and there will TONS of completed projects with instructions so that you can complete them yourself at home. :) Totally AWESOME FUN!!! My video will be available on my site and several others for $16.97 and will be shipping the first week of December – You’ll have it in time for Christmas gifts! (For yourself or someone else!) :)

      I knew Robyn would be doing a DVD someday and I think she was aware of my plans to do one – LITTLE did either of us know we’d be releasing at the SAME TIME! :) GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE! ;) So Have FUN with BOTH this Holiday season!!! They are gifts that will last for a long time! :)

    I am working on vinyl transfer teeshirts with my Cricut for our grandkids for my father-in-laws 100th birthday which is coming very soon on November 18th. I will try to get a good picture of the grandkids in the shirts and send you a picture.
    Hopefully they will make a good project.

    I just pre-ordered your video!!! Yes! I use my cricut almost every day, but I don’t know all the buttons and secrets. Does my project have to be with a cartridge or can I use my SCAL?
