Yay for Youtube being back to normal!
Sorry I didn’t get this up last night, but it’s only 11 on Tues! š
This video features two scrapbook pages I had already made using the new Paisley Cricut Cartridge.Ā Then I show you how I layered all of the Cricut pieces together to make an embellishment for the front of this cute card.Ā We also took a Sizziz embossing folder, inked it up and used it in the Cuttlebug Machine.Ā I think you’ll like the fun results if you haven’t seen this before!
Items Used:
- Paisley Cricut Cartridge
- DCWV – Nana’s Kids and Glitter Stack Paper
- Best Occasions (Walmart brand) Metallic Cardstock and Brights Card Stock
- Stampin’ Up Rich Razzleberry (any brand or color you like will be totally fine!)
- Zig 2way glue Squeeze and Roll
- Pop Dots
- Favorite Embossing folder – I used Spring Large Flowers from Sizzix – Did you know you can use them in your Cuttlebug?
- A few brads of your color choice

Your son is such a cutie.
I just got the Paisley cartridge so was pleased when you decided to demo it because I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.
Love that dragonfly, my daughter is going to dead impressed with it as she is really into dragonflies. I can’t wait to show her. I bet it is the first thing she cuts when she gets her Create from Santa.
Hi Megan, thanks for being so honest about the cartridge, the layering and the card function. I’ll have to check it out…it does have some of the cutest images! ~Sharon
Enjoyed your presentation. I don’t have the cart. but eventually I will. ;-}
I have this cart & I love the card function! I also prefer a cart with layers as it adds so much dimension to my projects. Thanks for the great video.
So cute. Do you have an area where you put your favorites and where to get them? I’ll buy from you if you sell them. Thank you for all the great ideas.
I am a new follower to Above Rubies. I really appreciate the videos. I just got the Paisley cartridge this weekend and I LOVE it, but I don’t really understand the card function either. I hope you can help us with some ideas for the tab card feature. Thanks again!
My favorites as in cartridges??? I buy them when I find them on sale or ebay – I usually check CustomCrops as well. I don’t sell them yet – but I am thinking about offering a small store of some of my favorite products – but that more than likely won’t happen for a while š
love the card. I’ve been eyeing this cartridge. I think it is so cute!
What a cute dragonfly! Learned a new technique of embossing with the folder inked up. Loved you layout with the sunglasses. The shiny black paper is a perfect fit. TFS.
Hi Benson! You lil cutiebug!
Thanks for the video……..

Loved them, I may have to scraplift your shades and cellphone page, it fits my 13yr old daughter to a T. Thanks!!
Hey Megan – love the little dragonfly. Thanks for all the instructions you provide.
Looking forward to getting your dvd.
I loved seeing your son in this video! Loved the card! Keep up the good work!
You did a great job of the card. I just did a Christmas card for my sister, but I am waiting for my cricut, so no easy task. It turned out ok though.
Megan, I have seen your numbering system for your cricut pages, but I don’t remember where I saw it. Can you help me out?
Thanks a bunch:)
Thanks so much Megan! Your son is adorable. š The cartridge is on my list!! š
Thanks for sharing some of the things you’ve done with this cart. Loved the cute dragonfly card.
Hubby got me this cart on BF, but I can’t play with it until after Christmas.
What a cute little boy, Megan. He is adorable. My youngest is 16. My, it really does go by fast. I didn’t believe people when they told me that. Anyway, your card is so pretty. Santa is giving me a Cuttlebug this year, so I can’t wait to try out the technique you showed. I haven’t seen it that way before. Does the folder clean easily? So appreciative of your work. ~Mary R.

How do you clean your Sizzix folder after you have inked it?
Becky

Wow thank you for sharing another wonderful video!! I love the paisley cartridge – another on my list to acquire!! Your son is adorable!!! Please advise how you clean your sissix plates after applying the ink – this is a great technique and i would love to try it!! Thanks again for all your time and talents!
Love the idea of inking the embossing folder, but how do you clean it?
I am so glad you are all enjoying this cartridge/card! š
To clean the embossing folder all you have to do is wipe it with a baby wipe or simple dish soap and water after you use it.
I recommend using a dye based ink on it because it cleans off the easiest…
The only ink that you should NOT use is the Staz On ink brand – it tends to really make a mess and would as my guess would be really STAY on there š
Have a GREAT day!
Meg
Meghan, great video as always. I enjoyed seeing your son, what a cutie. My list of wants keeps growing.
Sorry I keep spelling your name wrong.
Thanks for making your videos so easy to follow. I’m putting the paisley cart on my wish list! And I think I’ll try some shimmer/shiny papers on my next project.
Never thought to ink my folders. Will have to try.
Love your card.
Love the card. Your son is so precious:). I too am adding this cart to my wish list. I am glad you showed inking of the embossing folder. Other people have mentioned this, but I didn’t know quite what they meant. Thanks to you, now I do. I love your videos. Thanks for all your tips.

I have the same question as Deb P…with 45 cartridges and counting, I need a numbering system. Could you link us to where you explained it before?
