Ok lets get down to today’s Tuesday Tutorial. Do you ever see one photo scrapbook layouts basically on white cardstock in your favorite scrapbook magazines with lots of things going on around just the photo? Do you ever want to create something similar to that but aren’t sure how to?
Well today, we are going to do just that, using ONLY Black and White Paper and a Black and white photo. I’ll be stamping on the scrapbook layout also for my title sentiment using Paper Trey Ink stamp. I think you’re going to really enjoy how simple and beautiful this turns out!
Here is My SPECIAL ALERT SUPER EXCITED video! 🙂

Enjoy the Moments! See you Tomorrow!
Love the layout! Could you give the link to find your classes and workshops? Thanks so much! Can’t wait to hear about the Oct. trip!!!! You do such a great job.
How is your cleansing fast going? I have been thinking about embarking on that, too. I really appreciate your creativity, enthusiasm and most of all your heart for the Lord. I hope all is well for you! Oh–I wanted to tell you since you were talking about parenting books–Parenting is Heart Work by Turansky & Miller–one of the best booksI have read! They base everything in the Word of God and help you very practically with basing everything in the concept of honoring one another and thereby honoring God. It is SO GREAT! Our kids really connected with this and understood even when they were little that the Lord wants us to honor one another. It really is the foundation. Blessings on you and your family!
Hey! There is a link at the top of AboveRubiesStudio.com that says “classes” you can click on that to go to workshops, video classes or kits. 🙂
The cleanse is hard but going really well thankyou for asking! I’ve lost 9lbs total and I do feel more energy! I want a Cheeseburger and a PIZZA though! LOL 🙂
Thank you for the encouragement and I will be checking out that book! I agreed 110% with parenting being God honoring from the heart! Thank you!
Black and white are so polarized, the contrast is often bold. However, you managed to make this layout soft and precious using only those “colors”. The photo of Jena brings back such memories of my own children at the beach. In fact, my favorite photo of myself, is one taken at the beach. I was 5, my brother 2. This really speaks to the power of, not only a well taken photo, but of an excellent layout!
Another beautiful layout! Can’t wait to hear more info on the october trip (price, location etc). I’ve always wanted go on a scrapbooking vacation =)
Oh, Megan! May I quote you? “A mistake is an opportunity to embellish.” LOVE THAT encouraging word to this beginning scrapbooking person! Somehow God covers my mistakes with His love, too. So, here is a favorite quote from a lady (Joyce Meyer) who had to overcome many terrible things in her life to the point of victory: “I can do anything that I need to do today.” Now I hope that you are encouraged!
Hi Megan – Just want you to know that I really admire you. You really inspire me. I look forward to your emails everyday or whenever you have one.
I was really disappointed when the club went away as I was just getting into your kits. I do hope that you won’t stop having video’s for the expression2 and cricut cartridges. I realize that the cameo has sorta taken over and the cricut is becoming a thing of the past, but I still love my cricut and have invested so much on the cartridges that I am unable to upgrate.
After viewing your tues video on the jan kit, I now must have it. You do such wonderful work
Hugs, Flo
