Hello, my name is Megan Elizabeth, I am in my 20s and the above verse is the goal of my life! I truly want to seek to be a Proverbs 31 woman, and it is the daily struggle of my life. I think the Proverbs 31 woman is such a picture of what the strong, wise exciting woman is, and while I don’t claim to BE that, I definitely seek that positive picture! God is so good to me and has blessed me with so many amazing things. My prayer is that I can encourage you in just some small ways, all while having a blast enjoying our crafting, scrapbooking, card making and any other projects we jump into! I am married to Sean, who is our awesome web designer, he’s a great Daddy to our two kids, Bensen and Jenavieve. (I’m sure you’ll be hearing a lot about them they are the best!)
Besides scrapbooking, I love teaching and playing with my kids. They truly are miracles and so much fun! I also love shopping, singing at the top of my lungs (especially along with Donny Osmond ), and a wonderful Starbucks Latte while walking around AC Moore. I’m very active in our Church in Douglassville, PA and I can’t say enough how much I am giving thanks to God for blessing me beyond all I could ask or think!
My love for scrapbooking led me to the Cricut and then on to the wonderful online world of tutorials. My hope is to add value to this online community with my experience in Scrapbooking, Cardmaking and crafting. Since purchasing my Cricut over a year and a half ago, I have become obsessed with helping others learn the value of all that their Cricut can offer them. The Cricut offers so many options many users don’t know about, and I’m just the girl to show you how to get the most from your Cricut Machine.
I currently have a library of A to Z and 123 Educational DVDs which have helped thousands of people master their craft, machines and other things BETTER! So exited its been such a hugely popular success as teaching is nothing short of a HUGE passion for me. The Cricut Cutting Guide which shows over 500 settings for blade depth, speed and pressure was our very first product that started as (and still is) a free download on our website. We since have expanded to listen to user request and made the Cutting Guide a bound booklet, and iPhone App and Android App too! Paper Layerz is one of my latest creations and it is THE Paper for ALL Die Cutting Machine Users. One sheet of paper and it layers everything in a perfectly color coordinated fashion.
I have had the amazing honor in being asked to make guest appearances at several scrapbook stores, as well as instruct Cricut Classes all over PA. I love doing these things, I am also involved in different design teams both past and present.
Above Rubies Studio is here to give you support in your daily life and in crafting. I am truly committed to giving you great resources for all of your scrapbooking, card making and Cricut projects. There is so much I want to say and I want to give you all at once, but one day at a time is where we have to start!
Why are you called Above Rubies Studio?
Many have asked where the name Above Rubies Studio came from…Well it was born out of a childhood dream of owning my own salon and the Bible Verse found in Proverbs 31:10 – “For her worth is far above rubies”. My goal was to always share and promote that a womans worth is much more than any precious gem on this earth when she is filled with the virtue and honor that Proverbs 31 talks about. It’s about the woman on the inside that matters and in God’s eyes where all our worth is. This passage of scripture is the perfect “model” woman of who I would love to become, and is an example for us all to be Above Rubies.
