Not All Its Cracked Up To Be: Home Decor Mirror

18 August
Wednesday, 18 August 2010 01:39 Written by Megan Elizabeth 29 Comments

So in this project I went ahead and I used some Crocco from Viva Decor….This is a new product for me to really get to try out and play with and I quite enjoyed it!  It worked fabulously right on this wooden mirror from Ikea :)

I painted the entire wooden mirror with Viva Decor Precious Metals – just a very thin coat to give some glimmer.

Then I used a sponge brush and heavily applied a layer of the Silver Crocco Paint…. Finished off the design with some Viva Decor Pearl Pens and chipboard stickers from K&Company – I think I’ll be able to show some more with this fun stuff in a later video or something fun like that….maybe even a full series on the Viva Product line :)

Sooo pretty!!! :)

Cracked and  Blinged :)

Pearl pens add just the right touch! :)

I would REALLY like a video of the Viva Decor line. You have gotten them onto my “Want/Need” list and Christmas is acomin’! By the way, where do you GET Viva Decor? I asked at my CA Michael’s and they looked quite confused~hadn’t ever heard of it. Thank you, DoriG

Barbara, you have to go online to CustomCrops.
I finally got mine there, can’t find anyone that carries Viva decor in Lubbock, Texas either.
I am enjoying playing with my first few colors.

I think it turned out well. I have tried crackle before and the results depend on the paint color underneath and the proper coating of the crackle. Good job!

Custom crops have the Viva Decor pens. But you can’t find them under the index. You have to type in Viva Decor Pens at the top. That was the only way I could find them. Even tried locally here too and everyone just looked confused.

I recently purchased both the cricut expressions and the gypsy.I orderd your help disks. and they really helped. I was lost before I ordered them.
I plan to use my cricut for quilting. Are there any more people with this idea?

Your A-Z disks are wonderful. Don’t understand why these items do not have any instruction manuels.

    Question,
I have a cricut expression and i love it.
Should i buy a cricut create ( because , it is lighter and smaller) and for the portability for my everyday crafts.
    Thanks

This is really lovely . . . it reminds me of needlework! Isn’t it so cool to know you won’t ever be in another place where you’ll see something like this that you have made?
