Paisley Cricut Cartridge Scrapbook Pages and Card

01 December
Tuesday, 01 December 2009 11:14 Written by Megan Elizabeth 45 Comments

Yay for Youtube being back to normal!

Sorry I didn’t get this up last night, but it’s only 11 on Tues! :)

This video features two scrapbook pages I had already made using the new Paisley Cricut Cartridge.  Then I show you how I layered all of the Cricut pieces together to make an embellishment for the front of this cute card.  We also took a Sizziz embossing folder, inked it up and used it in the Cuttlebug Machine.  I think you’ll like the fun results if you haven’t seen this before!

Items Used:

  • Paisley Cricut Cartridge
  • DCWV – Nana’s Kids and Glitter Stack Paper
  • Best Occasions (Walmart brand) Metallic Cardstock and Brights Card Stock
  • Stampin’ Up Rich Razzleberry (any brand or color you like will be totally fine!)
  • Zig 2way glue Squeeze and Roll
  • Pop Dots
  • Favorite Embossing folder – I used Spring Large Flowers from Sizzix – Did you know you can use them in your Cuttlebug?
  • A few brads of your color choice

Your son is such a cutie.
I just got the Paisley cartridge so was pleased when you decided to demo it because I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.
Love that dragonfly, my daughter is going to dead impressed with it as she is really into dragonflies. I can’t wait to show her. I bet it is the first thing she cuts when she gets her Create from Santa.

So cute. Do you have an area where you put your favorites and where to get them? I’ll buy from you if you sell them. Thank you for all the great ideas.

I am a new follower to Above Rubies. I really appreciate the videos. I just got the Paisley cartridge this weekend and I LOVE it, but I don’t really understand the card function either. I hope you can help us with some ideas for the tab card feature. Thanks again!

My favorites as in cartridges??? I buy them when I find them on sale or ebay – I usually check CustomCrops as well. I don’t sell them yet – but I am thinking about offering a small store of some of my favorite products – but that more than likely won’t happen for a while :)

You did a great job of the card. I just did a Christmas card for my sister, but I am waiting for my cricut, so no easy task. It turned out ok though.
Megan, I have seen your numbering system for your cricut pages, but I don’t remember where I saw it. Can you help me out?
    Thanks a bunch:)

What a cute little boy, Megan. He is adorable. My youngest is 16. My, it really does go by fast. I didn’t believe people when they told me that. Anyway, your card is so pretty. Santa is giving me a Cuttlebug this year, so I can’t wait to try out the technique you showed. I haven’t seen it that way before. Does the folder clean easily? So appreciative of your work. ~Mary R.

I am so glad you are all enjoying this cartridge/card! :)

To clean the embossing folder all you have to do is wipe it with a baby wipe or simple dish soap and water after you use it.

I recommend using a dye based ink on it because it cleans off the easiest…

The only ink that you should NOT use is the Staz On ink brand – it tends to really make a mess and would as my guess would be really STAY on there ;)

    Have a GREAT day!
