YouTube Preview Image

I have to APOLOGIZE! I am so sorry that I left my window open during this video and the sun overly saturated the color!  I’ve learned my lesson – but I still wanted to show you this awesome layout incorporating both SCAL and Stamping Solutions Cricut Cartridge.

Don’t forget to go visit the Prizes and Giveaways Page for Day 3’s WIN IT!

See you Tomorrow!

Megan, Like you I prefer a simple style,’cause the photos should be the focal point. However, if I worked over/on my page as you do, I would ruin it. You’re so neat.

When doing your layouts you make them look so easy…my kind of scrapping. Your children are so cute. You are making me want the stamping cart. That owl is adorable.
I am going to have to get out my Xyron and start using it for my lettering. It looks so much easier then using a tape runner or glue pen.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Big Hugs!

Meagan – I see that you used 2 different colors of paper and cut your words out from SCAL at two different sizes…I just upgraded to SCAL 2.0 so I’m not sure if what I’m going to ask is taken care of in the upgrade but – my question is, how did you know what size to make the inner (green) letters? That is what I struggled with in SCAL – not knowing what size to make for a shadow effect. Please let me know. THANKS

  • Monday, December 28, 2009 at 4:05pm

Hi Kim, To make shadows, SCAL can calculate the size automatically when you go to the box on the right side that says Appearance (this is in the SCAL 2.0 upgrade) there is a drop down box and you can select “Normal, Shadow, Blackout or Shadow/Blackout” from right there. So you can make your normal word and then copy past a new one highlight that and select shadow. IT’s really simple as soon as you see where that box is :)

Grandmas love your videos too. I am a retired nurse and love to watch all the tutorials. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Your children are beautiful. Enjoy them while they are little as they grow up too soon and maybe, just maybe, you will become a grandparent, too.
