Creating Special Announcement Cards 26

Hey Everyone!

This past week I had the AWESOME privilege of helping my friend announce to her family that she is having her first baby!  So we pulled out the Cricut Imagine and decided to make very fun and simple Baby Announcement cards, but in a non-traditional kind of way.  I’m hoping you’ll enjoy taking a look at what we made and maybe pull some ideas of what you could use these cards for yourself! 🙂

Congratulations Andrew and Jill and expecting your first bundle of Joy!  We can’t wait till baby is here to hug, love and play with!!! 🙂

Here is the Completed Photo (click to Enlarge)

First we selected all the images we wanted from the Cricut Imagine Best Friends Cartridge and Better Together Cartridge!

Use the AUTO FILL function on the Cricut Imagine to fill up the entire sheet of white cardstock with the images we wanted to print and cut out….in this case we needed a total of 10.

We scored all of the Yellow Cardstock that was cut to 5.5″x8.5″ and then scored in the center (4.25″)

Used Popdots or Foam Adhesive to place the layers together on the card.

Used Gray ink for the edges of all Cricut Imagine Images to give a “finished” look and white Gel Pen to create faux Stitching around the entire card for another element that is quick and simple but gives it that special handmade kick!

That quickly we came up with the fun, cheery, easy to make Baby Announcement cards that Jill was able to place photo copies of her first Ultrasound inside.  Her family was happy to see the little baby pictured inside the card in a not so traditional way! 🙂

Hope you enjoyed and have a GREAT day!!!!
