Hey Everyone! Happy Tuesday!
Hope you’re doing FABULOUS! I’m in a pretty good mood (tonight Monday) right now with all that is happening and going on! I just had an amazing call with two great women, Britten and Cindy from the Club Ruby Designers DT. We were having a great time talking about the amazingly overwhelming response to our Club Ruby Design Team Call. We are also talking about all the upcoming projects at Above Rubies Studio including our newest DVD project that will be available at Club Ruby Designers THIS Summer! (It’s ALL About Cricut Cards!!!! You’re going to LOVE IT!)
This Tuesday Tutorial I am going to create a card using the Sketch that Britten and Cindy created for the CRD Challenge. I used a BRAND New Tool that I am “SEW” very excited about! I purchased a Singer Hand held sewing machine from Walmart.com it was ONLY $16.00! It DOES get “caught” in heavy cardstock a little bit, and its not an easy even steady stitch, BUT its REALLY cute and I’m VERY excited about using this in my tool box on a regular basis!

- Hero Arts Stamps
- Fluid Chalk Ink
- EK Success Powder Applicator Tool – REALLY awesome for when you want a sticker to be 3D (Learn how to do this without the tool in the video as well)Hope you all enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this cute simple card. I have the Graphically Speaking cartridge, used it many times on scrapbook pages, but not on cards. You have inspired me to get it out for cards – thanks. Love this card and absolutely adore this paper!!! TFS and enabling as usual – thanks for the trip of baby powder and a brush —- i have been puting scrap paper on the backs of stickers and trimming around – this will be so much easier!!! Have a wonderful day!!!

Love the sewing-edge application on this card. I have a small simple machine in my crafting room for stitching fabrics to cards and embellishing ribbons and tags. Can’t wait for the Ustream!

I have been using the baby powder & paint brush technique on my stickers… works great and as we have little kids it is always on hand 🙂 Gotta love being able to save money by using “on-hand” items!!! Can’t wait for the Ustream and to see who is going to join the DT @ CRD!!!!

I am so impressed by your videos!. Great job. Thanks for highlighting all these new products. I did see the little sewing machine at Crafts Direct discount store. Cute card and it helps to see some ideas for the cartridges that I have. I continue to do the same thing over and over and over. You, on the other hand are never boring.

cute card, and thanks for the BB powder tip. I have sewn all my life. but I rarely sew on my scrap projects because it is such a pain to bring out the sewing machine. SO…what a great tool.Thanks Megan for helping me spend money ever so wonderfully. !!!!
Nice card! I like the idea of using the powder to unsticky the sticker. I wonder if you used a fragranced powder if it would make your card smell nice too? I like the idea of the small sewing machine too. I won’t pull out the regular machine unless I am ready to conduct a sewing marathon. TFS!

Megan, I wanted to comment on your CD’s. I bought the one for the cricut a-z and the Gypsy A-Z. The gypsy had me bumfuzzled till I got the CD. In no time at all I was up and running. I’m anxious for whatever you come out with next. Keep them coming. Waiting for whats next. Thanks.

This is a great little card, and Echo Park is a wonderful paper line. I just wish you could find it in stores. So far, I’ve had to search for it online.

I just learned of the baby powder trick at the Scrap Expo here in Orlando last week! Very cool tip! I also have a tiny sewing machine that I was going to put in the yard sale box. Not any more! Wow, never thought of using it on my pages! Thanks again, Megan! P.S. Very cute card!

Love the tip about the Powder!
Love the powder…I tend not to buy too many stickers – but using the powder to turn them into popups just makes them more attractive – especially since stickers tend to go on sale!
