Scrapbooking News & Review Show
Above Rubies Studio is gearing up to launch a brand new show that you're absolutely going to love! Stay tuned...
My hope is to add value to the craft & hobby industry using my passion and experience! Read full bio...
Did you ever see the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic? Put me in a scrapbooking store and my mind set and way of thinking QUICKLY turns into … “The store always smells good, and the store can awaken a lust for things you didn’t even know you needed, and when your fingers grasp those shiny new bags (brads or PAPER!!!) …. ahh!”
Ok I am being TOTALLY dramatic here, and really just kidding, but that line is absolutely my favorite mantra from movie. Anyway, I love shopping, even when it is just looking around, I certainly have no budget to buy everything out there that I see…however, I am very patient and work my angles to get good deals on things and keep my eyes open on what is going on price wise in the crafting world. You truly should never have to pay the full sticker price on anything when you shop smart!
Let’s talk about my favorite places to swoop in and get some great deals and steals!
Anyway, there are millions more stores available, I have also heard really great things about buying from TwoPeasInABucket and Scrapbook.com I have never purchased from either, but I hear great things and I have scanned through a few times
Anyway, I hope that helps you if you are looking for something particular
I really love shopping, not necessarily buying, but shopping is such a relaxing thing for me, especially when I am out just looking for new ideas. I like coming up with my own do it yourselves instead of buying everything that is available – try to find ways to get the same effects without buying something new. Although I do always love trying something new
Have FUN!

Always interested in checking out new sites!
Thanks for the links.
I have never seen Clear Dollar Stamp website before. Off to check them out…Thanks!
I’m very fortunate (or not!) because within a 10 minute drive from my house I have a Michaels, AC Moore, and a Joann’s. There are coupons in our newspaper every Sunday and I just can’t pass up a good coupon! For those of you who don’t have a Joann’s near your home, Joann’s.Com always has great sales and coupons right on their website. They also ship fast. Have fun!
If you go to Joann’s website you will see there’s free shipping on any order, no minimum. It expires Tues 12/14 at noon EST. For the site, just Google Joann’s Crafts and the site will come up.
Wow, LorraineB, thanks for the tip! I’m on my way -oops. too late!
Thanks for the sites Megan!! I have a Hobby Lobby that is about 20miles away and that’s all thats around me, so I do alot of my buying online, mostly at Custom Crops, but love to look at new sites. Thanks!!
Two Peas and Scrapbook.com are great! I’ve ordered from both of them. One of my most favorite stores in town is called Archivers but their prices are outrageous (on most items). I’ve only ever had one coupon from them for 3.00 off any purchase of 15.00 (or higher). I could buy just about everything in that store but can’t afford to.
ROFL! I just love your description of the scent of the store etc…I know exactly how you feel! I could walk into ACMoore blindfolded and know I was there because of the scent. the first thing that hits are the scented candles. I always equate that with happy memories (of shopping of course)! TFS!
I live in a small town that doesn’t have any major stores of any value. The price I pay for living in the mountains. I do all my shopping online so the information is great. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the links! When we lived in Tiffin, OH , we had a LSS called Scrap Happy that I absolutely loved!! Now, we live in Texas and are near Archiver’s, Joann’s, Michaels and Hobby Lobby!! Love it!!
I have a Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann and Michael’s all within 10 minutes of my house. Fave online shops are Custom Crops, Scrapbook Pal, JuJuBee’s, Hallmark and Ebay.
I wish we Canadians had the variety of stores that are in the US.
Hey Megan…Another great site to shop for Cricut products at a reasonable price is Oh My Crafts. I have bought several things from them and have always been pleased, both with price and quality…But then again, anything Cricut is top quality…Just thought I’d share!
Thanks for the list of good places to shop. I was at a rubber stamp show recently and I bought a couple of stamps from Sweet n’ Sassy. I fogot to check out their website and your list reminded me of their name. Awesome stamps that can be used different ways.
Have you tried Scrapbuck.com – free shipping on orders of $25.00 or more (who can stop at 25.00) and they ship really really fast! I love them.
