Hope you are all having a great Tuesday and enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day Holiday yesterday!   I had a BLAST scrapbooking and cardmaking without cameras or anything – just a little me time was really nice!   I got four layouts done and two cards – of course I did take pics with my iPhone so maybe I’ll share later … but for now!

I have a really cute card that I made using:

• Kaiser Craft Hippie Chick Paper
• Martha Stewart Circle Cutter
• Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterfly Punch
• Paper Trey Ink Sentiment Stamp
• We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
• Viva Decor Glitter Liner

This card was really simple to create but gives a fun professional 3D effect which is always great.  We used the Martha Stewart Circle Cutter to create “windows” in the front of our cardstock patterned paper.  We also folded the top corner of our paper on the front of our card to give an extra element of interests, which is always great to do with cards.

This card is so very simple to make, anyone can do it in a few easy steps!

• Melon Mambo Stampin’ Up Cardstock
• Caroline Gavin K&Company Pattern Paper
• Fiskars Border Punch
• My Pink Stamper Stamps Friends and Family Stamp Set
• White Pigment Stamp Pad
• Purple Ribbon

Start with a 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ piece of carstock, fold it in half and from one side of that car, use paper trimmer to cut off 2″.

Along the edge that you cut off the 2″ punch out your border in desired design.

Now take your patterned paper, I went ahead and made it 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ so that it would fill the whole front of the card.  Run glue right at the edge of the border you punched and then another glue line at the very top of the patterned cardstock.

Line the Patterned paper on the inside of the card and press together firmly.  It should look like this when standing up

Tie some ribbon that you like around the card and right above the punched edge…I really like the way the ribbon accents the punch.

Line up two of the stamps on a stamp block – I used a grid stamp block to get them pretty even

Stamp on your sentiment in your favorite color (I like white with this) and there you have it!  How easy and cute is that??

I really find that when you have paper that you love, you can create very simplistic designs in cards or even layouts – sorta let the paper speak for itself and enjoy it!

This is a layout I did of our family day at OCNJ beach!   I used the Carolyn Gavin K&Company Paper Pack and just had fun!

I’m also going to use some Viva Decor “Paper soft Color” – its kinda like an ink pad – but unlike anything you’ve ever used before!    I use the Paper Soft Color on some Color Me Crazy flowers – sooo fun!

I also used my Fiskars edge punch for matting my photo, some basic ribbon and my Big Bite from We R Memory Keepers.  I love it for all those times you have a eyelet or something you are dying to set and its in the middle of the page!

This is where I started – wrapped a little orange ribbon around my anchor piece of patterned paper.

I just used a simple crafting sponge to apply the ink right onto the flower.

The flowers are just layered together with a brad to keep them together

Matches very well with the paper I think!

I used my Big Bite to punch through and have fun with these flowered eyelets right in the corner of this journal block.  The corners were rounded with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

Minus the rub0ns I put in the journaling block, here is the finished layout of my family’s beach day at OCNJ!

I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday and I hope you enjoy this video that I have put together for you for today   I made this little card using a few products from Viva Decor which I just love!!!   It’s a really simple card to complete – but I really love the colors and the way it all turned out.  The paper is from K&Company Carolyn Gavin’s paper stack and I LOVE this paper and I NEED to find a place carrying it to buy another stack or two of it!  I just love it so much!

I told you all I got a bunch of the new Cricut Cartridges, and I am having such a blast playing with them!

Today’s video I’m showing some really fun paper from Sassafrass Lass called “Nerdy Bird” it’s so cute and I just got it to test it out.  I also am using the Once Upon A Princess Cricut Cartridge in this video to make a card with the layers and shadow to the phrase “Tea For 2″ it’s so cute with the little Tea Cup and the phrase….

The other thing I just bought recently are some new stamps from “My Cute Stamps” I purchased them through Custom Crops, and they are soooo CUTE!!!   I used them with tone on tone ink to make a little extra background for my solid color cardstock.  Hopefully you have fun and learn a few great things or get inspiration from this Tuesday Tutorial

Daphne from ScrapCessories was here at this crop with me along with Melissa K who is one of our Club Ruby Design Team Members.   We had a really nice weekend and met some new friends and just had a blast shopping at Ross for really cheap scrapbook paper and went to Big Lots from some Grungeboard packs.  Played with new paper and enjoyed the relaxing time.
