Hope you are all having a great Tuesday and enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day Holiday yesterday!   I had a BLAST scrapbooking and cardmaking without cameras or anything – just a little me time was really nice!   I got four layouts done and two cards – of course I did take pics with my iPhone so maybe I’ll share later … but for now!

I have a really cute card that I made using:

• Kaiser Craft Hippie Chick Paper
• Martha Stewart Circle Cutter
• Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterfly Punch
• Paper Trey Ink Sentiment Stamp
• We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
• Viva Decor Glitter Liner

This card was really simple to create but gives a fun professional 3D effect which is always great.  We used the Martha Stewart Circle Cutter to create “windows” in the front of our cardstock patterned paper.  We also folded the top corner of our paper on the front of our card to give an extra element of interests, which is always great to do with cards.

I painted the entire wooden mirror with Viva Decor Precious Metals – just a very thin coat to give some glimmer.

Then I used a sponge brush and heavily applied a layer of the Silver Crocco Paint…. Finished off the design with some Viva Decor Pearl Pens and chipboard stickers from K&Company – I think I’ll be able to show some more with this fun stuff in a later video or something fun like that….maybe even a full series on the Viva Product line

Using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge on the Tallball creative feature I cut out the phrase “There is nothing worth having if you can’t share it with others”.  To line up the vinyl – I used simple blue painters tape right from the backing and adhered right to the top of my box.  If you aren’t sure what I mean – I did a video on it a long time ago you can watch it HERE. I also used brown rub-ons for the front label to say “enjoy”.

Decorated with white flowers that I inked in matching colors and used Viva Decor Pearl Pens in Green and Sunny Yellow to bling it up!

Inside the box – I FILLED it with goodies – I made a CD of some of my favorite Scrapbookin’ Tunes and made a little CD Sleeve for it.  I also included a Copic, Stickles, Viva Pens, Embellishments, Vinyl, Ribbon and loads more….

Aren’t all these goodies fun?!?!

So today, I’m going to share with you the card I made to send to her for her birthday, which happens to be TODAY!!!

In this video you will see how:

• I cut out and lined up strips of paper from a precious piece of My Little Shoe Box Paper
• I cut out design elements to use and pop up on my card from My Little Shoe Box Paper
• Stamped my “Make a Wish” sentiment using Red Lipstick Fluid Chalk Ink
• Added a little ribbon….. andddd….Here ya Go!

Happiest Birthday Sweet Riley Girl!!!!  We love you!!!!

Its SUMMERTIME and there is lots of fun things happening right?  Picnics!… Parties!… Swimming!… Laying out in the Sun!…. Catching Fireflies at Night!….Lots of GREAT Events to take pictures of and have layouts ready for.  So that’s exactly what I did with the My Little Shoebox All A Flutter and Lil’ Critter Paper for this FUN FUN FUN Summertime Layout!

Covering Chipboard!  Have you ever wondered if there was a secret formula to really covering chipboard?  Do you ever get totally frustrated trying to trace with an Xacto knife and you still end up with some jagged edges that just drive you crazy?  Do you try to sand off the edges and it still doesn’t seem quite right?  I know that I’ve had those troubles.  I never seem to be able to trace and cut my shapes out perfectly, and now I’ve met my solution!!! I’m so excited!

In this video I show how I finished off a basic square shape which is pretty easy, but in a video coming up, we are going to show a much more intricate shape as well – so you can REALLY see how great these things work.

I made it interchangeable, so that I can put new photos and decorations in it for every season and I just love it!  These trays make GREAT wedding or baby shower gifts as well as just something great for yourself with minimal effort at all!   Of course you can take lots of time and really deck it out, but it looks beautiful done simply too!
