Club Ruby Designers IS up and Running!!!   Lots of great stuff happening and there are a FEW openings for the base level Membership left!

I painted the entire wooden mirror with Viva Decor Precious Metals – just a very thin coat to give some glimmer.

Then I used a sponge brush and heavily applied a layer of the Silver Crocco Paint…. Finished off the design with some Viva Decor Pearl Pens and chipboard stickers from K&Company – I think I’ll be able to show some more with this fun stuff in a later video or something fun like that….maybe even a full series on the Viva Product line

Just making a very simple card for the summer bright colors and used some Sunny Yellow Viva Decor Pearl Pens, and Lots of Pun stamps from Joyslife.com

I used the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge and used the bra/underwear icon and Purse Creative Function with a 12×24 piece of paper from the K&Company Handmade Collection.  I made the purse Fit to Page so it was as BIG as possible…and GUESS what – it FITS cards that are just a BIT smaller than A2 size cards!  So I made a set of cards using that same bra/underwear from Forever Young and I also included a REALLY fun and silly stamp that fits right in with the theme!

Each card is decorated slightly different – but all have the same bra and underwear I blinged up the undies using some Viva Decor Glitter Liners and Pearl Pens….

I used the “Girlfriend” sentiment stamp from the My Pink Stamper Friends and Family set….

and there ya have the full goodie bag with cards and large stamp included.  I used a re positionable pop dot to “close” the bag because of the size of the stamp inside the gift.

Turned out quite adorable in my own opinion….and quite silly with the Put those Big Girl Panties on Theme!

Using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge on the Tallball creative feature I cut out the phrase “There is nothing worth having if you can’t share it with others”.  To line up the vinyl – I used simple blue painters tape right from the backing and adhered right to the top of my box.  If you aren’t sure what I mean – I did a video on it a long time ago you can watch it HERE. I also used brown rub-ons for the front label to say “enjoy”.

Decorated with white flowers that I inked in matching colors and used Viva Decor Pearl Pens in Green and Sunny Yellow to bling it up!

Inside the box – I FILLED it with goodies – I made a CD of some of my favorite Scrapbookin’ Tunes and made a little CD Sleeve for it.  I also included a Copic, Stickles, Viva Pens, Embellishments, Vinyl, Ribbon and loads more….

Aren’t all these goodies fun?!?!

I really want to share this layout that I think came out beautifully for the phrase “What Was I Thinking” – I turned it into a “What I Was Thinking” for my partner to be able to scrapbook and journal about her wedding day

Doing a simple layout like this is perfect for Wedding Albums and the classic black, white and silver go alone with most any wedding scheme. 

Here is the full two page layout.  I used Black Metallic Paper from Walmart for the Words What I Was Thinking – I used the Songbird Cricut Cartridge and welded the words together using my Gypsy

The paper is already decorated beautifully but I LOVE to add my own touches…. I used Hematite Glitter Liners from Viva Decor to accent my pages – adding pops of glitter and dimension right to the paper….

I matted this page with silvery metallic paper with two 4.5 x 6.5 photos, and added dots of the glitter liner right to each of the four corners of the mattings.

The same for the second page – I added more of the Glitter Liner in Hematite, but I also used the Silver Pearl Pen from Viva Decor.  I also used my Copic Markers to color several paper flowers that were white – I made them more silver.  I used glue dots to attached the flowers to my page and added that Viva Decor Silver Pearl Pen in the centers for that BEAUTIFUL Pearlized gem in the center!

Also on this “thinking” side of the layout – I placed a large block for journaling.  I matted a sheet of white paper in coordinating paper and drew lines using a ruler to create a perfect journally space to talk about thoughts!

Simple yet BEAUTIFUL!

This card is so very simple to make, anyone can do it in a few easy steps!

• Melon Mambo Stampin’ Up Cardstock
• Caroline Gavin K&Company Pattern Paper
• Fiskars Border Punch
• My Pink Stamper Stamps Friends and Family Stamp Set
• White Pigment Stamp Pad
• Purple Ribbon

Start with a 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ piece of carstock, fold it in half and from one side of that car, use paper trimmer to cut off 2″.

Along the edge that you cut off the 2″ punch out your border in desired design.

Now take your patterned paper, I went ahead and made it 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ so that it would fill the whole front of the card.  Run glue right at the edge of the border you punched and then another glue line at the very top of the patterned cardstock.

Line the Patterned paper on the inside of the card and press together firmly.  It should look like this when standing up

Tie some ribbon that you like around the card and right above the punched edge…I really like the way the ribbon accents the punch.

Line up two of the stamps on a stamp block – I used a grid stamp block to get them pretty even

Stamp on your sentiment in your favorite color (I like white with this) and there you have it!  How easy and cute is that??

I really find that when you have paper that you love, you can create very simplistic designs in cards or even layouts – sorta let the paper speak for itself and enjoy it!

I’ve been wanting to give you more on the Cricut Imagine – and I just am now getting around to sharing some more info.

Lets look at some of the Promo Pics from Provo Craft and talk a little bit about the goodies

There it is – the BEAUTIFUL Imagine

The printer/cutting machine in one

Its truly amazing and you can do a TON of great things with it!

The top ldc screen and much of the same interface as the Cricut Gypsy, but more to it.  There is also a port for both the Original Cricut Cartridges and the new Imagine Cartridges that will contain color pallets and patterns to print fantastic colors right onto your cuts.  Talk about customization!!! You’re going to love it!

The ink cartridges are made with the great quality of HP Inks, but the ink cartridges are specific for this machine….not just any HP cart will work…. Good news is that the price point on these ink cartridges are no more than standard HP Ink Cartridges….

The Cutting Mats I’m thrilled to say, are really cool.  They have redesigned the cutting mats with a new kind of adhesive and also have changed the plastic that the mat is made from for better wear and tear.  The only thing to note is – you can’t use your old Cutting Mats with the new Imagine Machine, but you can use the new cutting mats in your old Cricut Machines.

Here is a look at one of the Imagine Cartridges – and from what I understand the one that is going to be coming with the Imagine Cricut Machine.  I do not have ALL the info on this…but this is what I wanted to share.  The initial designs are beautiful and Provo Craft has done much work with the artists from Cosmo Cricket for their first set of designs.

Few other things to mention… The Imagine will work with ALL your current cartridge library.  The Imagine Machine will also work with your Gypsy and you will be able to done TONS more with your Gypsy in the VERY near future…including that awesome Photo App I talked to you all a little bit about.  The new Imagine Cricut Cartridges will only work with the Imagine Cricut Machine…this is because they contain color palettes and patterns that your original Cricut will not be able to do anything with.  Also to mention, from the understandings, you will be able to link your new Imagine Cartridges to your Gypsy for even further design options, but once again will have to cut/print with the Imagine for those cartridges.

Ok so thats what I’ve got to give you for now – the Cricut Imagine Premiers on HSN on September 14th and as soon as my machine is in hand I will be sharing it with you further
