I hope you’re just doing FANTASTIC and STILL enjoying this 21 days of Giveaways fun! Lots of great things to still share and other bloggers to still party with AND the Grand Party close with out Live Webstream event on Thursday night September 8th at 9:30pm EST.
Ok ok, enough of the reminders – lets share a fun project. I used a sheet of PaperLayerz by Megan Elizabeth Fresh and Friendly Sunshine is the piece I used here, this is included in the September kit for Club Ruby Designers as well as the rest of the Paper I used in this layout of Jena and I. The winner of TODAY’S prize is going to receive some Paper Layerz paper and goodies from Club Ruby Kits! (Details at bottom of this post)
I also used the new Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge and I’m pretty excited about that too! 🙂
I cut out a 3 1/4″ flowers in 8 of the 9 color squares, even the black and white because the reverse side of Paper Layerz is still a coordinating pattern. I just randomly selected different ones of the top row of 3D roll up Flowers.

Peel each one off the cutting mat and then I hand crinkle the “petals” of these spirally flowers so that they have lots of extra dimension and real life to them! 🙂
Roll up each of the flowers, starting with the outter most loose end. The Color that you want to be the petals of the flowers showing, you need to roll in. I used these PermaTac adhesive mini squares from Glue Arts. They are REALLY strong and work well to place on the little “circle” in the very center. You need to place a Glue Dot on there and use that as the base of the flower.
Once they are all rolled up – these are what you get…. So AWESOME! 🙂
They are the PERFECT embellishment that matches whatever paper you are using…and Paper Layerz certainly helps too since they all coordinate and well, Layer so well!
Pretty much what this layout will look like when its finished – few more touches and it will be awesome I think. I really love this paper. I love all the sentiments on there – Think this is my favorite sheet in the September kit!

The layer flowers look awesome in the words of my 4th old. They would be great in my wedding scrapbook or embellishing gift wraps.
paper layerz!!! I have been wanting these since I first heard of them! i would get two sets of each color palettes, one for me and one for my daughter so she could cut out all her fun cricut cuts. this would make crafting with her som much easier and fun. Thank you for this wonderful celebration.

Even though I don’t own a cricut, i cut everything out by hand still. Paper Layerz are fabulous! I would be so relieved to have one sheet with all the coordinating colors all together rather than cutting up little squares individually. Your color selections are great. My use…I love to watch TV and create each and every item of a Cricut cartridge, how much faster it would go using a Paper Layerz. Great work Megan!

There are so many ways to use Paper Layerz….not only for the awesome flowers, but also when I want the same design of anything in several colors, or when doing a layered design of some kind…much quicker than switching papers on my cricut!

I have used paper layerz for layering my die cuts quick and easy
I would use paper layerz for all the cricut. I seem to have a problem with my paper tearing, or I end up using paper that has a white core and my items just don’t look very nice. I need lots more practice and your paper may make it easier for me.

I am waiting for delivery of the Flower Shoppe cartridge and I would love to have the Paper Layerz to use with it. So far I have received an Earthquake and am expecting “Irene” to visit this weekend. I need something fun!!!!

I like to make cards. I love using Paper Layerz with the Create A Critter cartridge. I then incorporate those Critters into my card design.

I LOVE those flowers! Paper layerz is such an awesome idea. What comes to mind for me is to use paper layers with my paper doll dress up cartridge. It will no longer be a pain to cut all the clothes out. I can use 1 sheet of paper layerz and I’m all set. Thanks for making crafting easier.

What a great idea. I’ve never cut more than one thing out at a time on my cricut. I would definitely use paper layers to simplify my layered embellishments. I think I need to buy the cricut a-z guide too as I feel like I am not getting the most out of my cricut yet.
Oh these are awesome!!! I pretty much make these right now myself (but that is much more time consumming and a pain in the you know what!), so this would be perfect for making little critters or other cuts with all the layers! Thanks so much!

Thanks for the demo. Even though I have many Cricut cartridges, I love flowers and will have to get that one. As for using the Paper Layerz, I’ve had the pleasure to try it with my Cricut and can honestly say “if a project needs layering, gotta use Paper Layerz for the best cuts”….does cut like butter!….even the detailed cuts. PaperLayerz are the quickest and best way to create coordinating elements for the greeting cards we make for a charity.

This cartridge is so unique. I would use Paper Layerz to make these flowers then use them as bows on some boutique style gift boxes.

I’m planning on making my boquet for my sister’s wedding out of paper flowers & I think your paper would be BEAUTIFUL for that boquet. The color co-ordination would be perfect. Expression so much easier and faster. I would definitely use it to make more things that require layering than I tend to make now. I use my Cricut machines for cards and scrapbook pages (and other things as well).
I do card-making so would use the Paper Layerz for that crafting I’m sure, plus I haven’t done the spiral flowers yet & see how this would be perfect for getting started on that!

The hardest part for me is coordinating colors with all the paper I have and Paperlayerz will make that job easier so I can spend more time making things. I am so excited just ordered me some Paper Layerz from the store also. The more the merrier for me.

I love making flowers. Since I have lots of girls in my life I make them all the time. I am designing my grandaughter’s room in hot pink and lime green using flowers as the them. Can not wait to try this.
My daughter-in-law just got her first teaching job, and I told her I’d make “dolls” of each of her students (using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge)so she could use them on her “Star of the Week” bulletin board. I think Paper Layerz would be perfect for making these!!

Flowers are cute. I think they would work well for cards, but thinking they might be too “poofy” for scrapbooking. They would be smashed inside the protective liner. I’ve used your paper since it came out, and it really works well. Thank you so much!!

New to crafting and just picked up a Cricut and the Art Philosophy cart. These paper layerz would be great for the boxes and flowers (and just about everything else) I make with the Cricut. Thanks for showing an easier way to make the flowers – a previous tutorial I found used a hot glue gun and was very complicated. Your method was easy!
Love the flowers! I have tried so hard to get some of the Layers paper, but have been unsuccessful so far. I would use it to make sure elements on my cargs all coordingated.

After I cut out my project using Paper Lazerz there is still a little left over so I use my small punches and cut out little hearts and flowers and have them to add to any of my project also.

Paper Layerz? Wow! I have to get some soon. What a time saver… I would use it for card making and scrapbooking with my Cricut. I usually have a hard time using any beautiful paper because I may find another use that would be better after I cut into it! But I know that I can always get more of Paper Layerz.

The layout is beautiful. I like how you used the polka dot paper for the letters. The flowers are terrific but I don’t think they would work in a scrapbook. Sure would be pretty on a card though. I like your paper layerz because I always have trouble selecting papers that go together and that would be eliminated with your product. Super idea.

I LOVE the idea of Paper Layers – so easy to coordinate. And the best part of Paper Layerz is that it’s made in my backyard of Wisconsin! I have been to the warehouse for the semi-annual paper sales. Just an awesome place!
Ooops, forgot to say what I’d use it for. My son and many of his friends are heading off to their first year of college. I’m working on sending goodie bags along with a photo collage for either Halloween or when their parents go up for parent weekend. I will be including these pretzels that all the kids like that I make for them. Just a taste of home to let them know we love them.

These are super cool 3D flowers. I hadn’t seen this cartridge before and can’t believe the variety of flowers that come out of the spiral cuts.
I have not had the chance to use the Paper Layerz cardstock yet but have kept in the loop through your newsletters. The paper seems to be very sturdy keeping the hand shaped petals.

Can use PaperLayerz for almost anything. Won’t spend so much time cutting out various pieces needed for matting. Put a single page down, and the majority of your “pieces” will be there. Luv it!

I like to use it when you have different layers you don’t have to use several different kinds of paper or think about what you want. The colors are all right there for you. Sometimes I have a hard time what goes right together and this is great for that.

I hav the Cricut FLower Shoppe cartrige and can see how helpful the paper layers will be when I do get brave enought to try to use it.

I would use the paper layers to cut some homemade tags from since the coordinating colour on the other side would finish them perfectly without extra work. I also like this paper for card embellishments and mats as the coordinating colours work so well for making a box of cards with the same layout so they work as a set of boxed cards but are all different instead of giving a box of identical cards. 🙂

Hi Megan. Love, love, love your Paper layerz. I have them and it is now so much easier when cutting out objects with my cricut to get colorful, matching cuts for each layer. I was always taping misc. papers on my mat with painters tape so they wouldn’t slip and slide. That took so much time, and even then sometimes they would slip, slide and tear. None of that happens with Paper Layerz. Just ordered the 24 pack, can’t wait to get it. Almost used up all of the 2 packages of 6. And, I can’t wait for your Paper Layerz DVD to be released..put me down for one. Thanks for all your great work!

I just purchased Flower Shop, so this is great. Why did you only cut eight spots instead of all nine? The flowers are great. When I saw what is on Flower Shop I knew I had to have it. I love flowers, and now with Paper Layerz this will be even better. I gave my sister-in-law a set of cutmates with the six paper layerz, she said what do I do with the new paper. Love the flower shop cartridge!! It’s just like those sticky ones that you roll up and make the roses, only now instead of buying a hundred, you make as many as you want or need. And what size you want or need. WOW, that’s gonna save some money in the long run. A very good investment. I must have it!

I agree that the flower shoppe cartridge is great and I want it. That is what I would use the paper cutz for if I had this cartridge. Otherwise, I would make some of the paer dolls from the everyday paper dolls and put them on a card.

I can think of lots of ideas for paper layers beyond my fav…cards, scrapping, and gift decorations. How about headbands, shoes, lapels, stick it on a surprise spot with a quick note to brighten someones day, on a pillow at night, decorate the lid of a jar with a bunch, on picture frames. Love them.

Wow what a cool project. I would use the paper layers for all the scrapbook pages I will be making soon for my wedding I just had.
I would use paper layers to make cards. Layering the cutouts would be a lot easier.
My favortie cartridge is Simply Charmed so I would use Paper Layerz to create images from that cartridge for my cards. 🙂
I am going to add these flowers to my cards but I am looking forward to mix and matching the Paper Layerz with my quilling items. Quilling and Paper Layerz, can’t get any better than that!

I have recently started making paper flowers to embellish my cards and scrapbook pages. Paperlayerz is a great way to cut different colors at one time without having to change the paper each time a new color is needed.

I would use the Paper Layerzs for layered projects, cardmaking and embellishments. Can’t wait to try this beautiful paper.
I take supplies to the senior center in our town. I’ll usually bring printed and plain papers and bring sentiments that I’ve cut out with my Cricut machine in multiple colors so there are options. If the ladies want another color of the sentiment to match paper then I’ll cut it out “on demand”. I would love to use the Paper Layers to make cuts of a sentiment in multiple colors without having to change out papers so often.

There are so many small and interkit cuts that I would love to make, but up to now, now cardstock can do them properly… would love to try them with the Paper Layerz, specially that I won’t have to look for the colors that I want to use (this takes moste of my time :S )

My number one card/scrapping problem is color co-ordination. What a problem slover Paper layerz would be! Also like that the reverse side is one color. I’d make flowers and more flowers.
I’d use it on cards where I had to make a bunch, but I wanted them to coordinate, yet be just a little different, maybe like invitations or holiday cards. I get bored making multiple cards the same.

This paper is great. I love it. I always try to piece papers together to no avail they always shift. And I would use it for the obvious. Flowers, more flowers and even more flowers.
