I have managed to avoid scrapbooking for the last 6 years, (at least). I know…it’s shameful! With 4 kids still at home, I’m drowning in photos! Okay, “drowning” isn’t accurate, they’re digital. But, I just tend to spin my wheels when I scrapbook. I get caught up trying to make it all perfect. The process makes me miserable, and it takes me ages to complete a couple of pages. Conversely, I LOVE producing cards! Thank you for giving me a new, (and less intimidating), perspective on scrapbooking. It may have been just the shove I needed. You’ve inspired a goal for this year, too: Don’t take it all so seriously!

I think I am going to make my own and make a recipe-kitchen type smash book and a separate house smash book. I am always collecting recipes and cooking hints so I want to make one to smash all this stuff into until I get a chance to try the recipes and decide if they deserve a place in my tried and true recipe book. I also have lots of clippings of ideas for different rooms in my house that I want to do so going to make a smash book to put them into also. I already kind of do this, they are just in plain 3 ring binders with page protectors, now I am just going dress up some pages for them and actually stick the clippings to the pages.
Thanks for the inspiration, off to make smash books!

I had to giggle. I bought all the SMASH stuff and decided that my first project would be my weekend in Vegas with Donny & Marie!!! Yes Megan, that’s right. Spent some time with Donny! We go way back…He laughs when I tell him I’ve been with him from puberty to menopause! LOL. Next time, I’ll have to take you will me and maybe get you that dance! Love to hear your story about your love for him…do tell!

Oh, and Connie…thanks for the tip about the cover…I’m going to do that!
