I am VERY excited about this DVD! I love to watch your videos and Pink Stampers too, but after following the link and viewing both, I need to start with you! Watching it on the TV and being able to pause and move about, makes it perfect for me. I have had my Expression almost a year and I am in great need of guidance! lol Thank you for all you do and your wonderful site.

  • marcia

Will you give complete lists of supplies for each project you are showing? About how many different Cricut creative features are used in the DVD?

  • Megan Gravener

    Hi Marcia,
In the Inspiration Gallery you will receive the list of supplies to complete projects by Above Rubies Studio as well as guest Designers that are still being added today! 🙂 So exciting!

We go over how to use all the Creative Modes on the Expression and the Create (the Baby Bug does not have additional creative modes) and then we also talk about many creative features on 7 different cartridges,
    That include things like:
Shadow, Blackout, Shadow/Blackout, Card Functions, Card Frames, Layers, Silhouettes, End Caps, Foundation Keys, Tri-Fold Cards, Shadow Layers and more! 🙂

  • Shirley D

Will you tell what the smallest size for each shape would work?…hard to explain, but I know Cricut advertises it will make shapes I believe to 1/2 inch, but when you try to make 1/2 inch on some shapes, it is very difficult to take off mat without tearing. For expample I was making the letter “w” I believe from Plantin School at 1/2 in and I couldn’t take off mat without tearing small very very very (did I say very) small slice of paper that was keeping the “w” together.

  • Megan Gravener

Well, I really can’t tell you the smallest for each shape out there – there are thousands of shapes when you total 100+ cartridges and each of those carts can have as many as 700 shapes on them. That would take me several YEARS to compile!

However, best suggestion I can give you from here is, to use the Cricut Spatula and take your time when removing it from the Cutting Mat.

Sometimes making a bigger size is what you need to do, OR change the font type for the “w”.

For example, instead of using the “w” from the original Plantin Schoolbook, switch to Roly Poly or Shadow, it will make the “w” thicker and possibly easier to remove from mat.

Tips like these will be in the DVD! 🙂

Hi Megan, I would love this DVD. I’m about to upgrade to the E from my baby bug and could use all the guidance I can get!! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win. ~Sharon

  • Angie

I haven’t been able to pre-order yet but I’m hoping to when I save some $.

My question is: “What made you decide to finally make a DVD?” You are so incredibly talented and you’re honestly my favorite person to watch right now. I love how creative you are and how concerned you are with saving money. I think it’s great because not everyone can afford everything under the sun – including me. So all your money saving tips are great!! I loved that video!!

  • anloko

Can you “ungroup” images on a cartridge with any tool (DS or gypsy)? Like on the Winter Woodland when you want to only print part of a house (like one part that’s in a cut? file that has more than one part? I hope my question is clear. I can’t wait for your video to learn MUCH MORE!

  • Cinthia H

I am so excited for you and this new venture with a DVD. I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to win your DVD. I still have a baby cricut and there is still so much I don’t know about it even. I can visualize it now, your DVD playing in my scrap room while I am creating with my cricut.
Thanks again Megan, you are awesome!

  • Debbie

I couldn’t wait to win, so I ordered today. I hope you will cover layers. I have cut some items from “Life’s a Beach” and they don’t seem to match up. Also, “fit to length” is one of my favorites.

  • Indira

I will love to have one. So, I want to know if you talk about scal on the video? I`m interesting on this software, i hope i could buy very soon.

  • Pat

I love the idea of a whole dvd of your lessons and projects! I’ve had my E for about a year, but still only know a little! Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Carrie Krumm

Congrats on the dvd- I definitely want one!
Will you be doing lessons on design studio? I’ve had mine for over a year and just can’t quite get the hang of it!

  • Lori K

Since I found out you were doing this I have been so excited… will be ordering one for sure. I think there is always something I need to learn on the cricut. Just want to say your website has been such a big help to me. Thank you so much!!!

  • Monique

I am so excited. I just pre-ordered you DVD this weekend. I can not wait to get started. I have had my Cricut Expression for almost two years now and have gone throw so much paper and am still going throw paper. I have created some nice things but I always buy three of ever piece of paper to give me room for era.

  • Kim W

Have already pre ordered your DVD. Love your site and can’t wait to see what else you have to offer. Would like to win the DVD to give to a friend that is getting a Cricut for Christmas.

  • Deborah Meyer

I love the idea of having all the info regarding my Cricut in one place. Are all the project/information tutorials broken up into different chapters. Of course I’ll watch the whole DVD but afterward if I forget how to do something I wouldn’t want to watch the whole thing again searching for that one bit of information I might have forgotten.

  • Brenda

Hey Megan – My question is, I only have the baby bug – will you provide guidance on which carts work best with which machine? i.e. I heard Wild card only works on the Expression. Thanks for putting this together. I will be preordering the dvd later today.
    Hawksteammom@gmail.com

  • Linda Peterson

Will you show different ideas from the Wild Card cartridge? There are a lot of different cards on it but I am lost on how to use all of them.

  • TKDMOM

My questionis will there be more DVDs to follow? Such as Design Studio. And will you possible break down some of the more complicated carts such as Wild cards in the future?

  • Wendy

I think providing a DVD is great. I am a visual learner and like to see the step by step process. It’s always great to learn new techniques or different features that the cartridges provide!

  • Dawn Mc

I was wondering how many projects are on it altogether, and what is the total length of the dvd. I cant wait to get mine. My friend just started a scrapbooking weekends and this way i can show them new things. how fun.

  • Nora

Who wouldn’t want to win a copy of your DVD? I’ve had my E for a couple of years and still don’t use it to it’s fullest potential. I’m sure it will be great, just as all your videos are.

  • Kathy Burrow

Megan, I so badly need this DVD. There are so many ways to use this machine, that I stay overwhelmed when I use it. I usually figure out what I need to do, but would love to be able to just watch someone that obviously knows what they are doing. Thanks for doing this.

  • sandyh50

Hi Megan! I just got my Cricut Expressions 4 days ago so I’m in desperate need of your video. I’ve watched everything on your website so far, and I printed off your cutting guide, but the video would be wonderful! Thanks for doing all this for us! Looking forward to it!

  • ShawnfromMn

Hi There! I am so excited about your DVD!! Will you be talking about layering and sizing! I still have problems with that. Also wondering if you are planning a seaquel – and if you will consider explaining DS and Gypsy a bit further. I went and ordered a check card so that i can order your DVD!! Thank you for all your hard work!

  • Diane-MaMaK

Will there be a ‘quick find’ table of contents for the topics/projects on this Cricut DVD. WOW! What a project for you to develop…and we all benefit! Enjoy your updates and faithful teaching. I’d be sooo excited to win this DVD.

Are you planning on having any distributers in Canada? Can i suggest The Scrap Hut in calgary (www.scrap-hut.com), a small home based business.
    Thanks
    Jacqui

  • Jen McLaughlin

Hey! I’m having a hard time figuring out which direction each item is printing. Seems like I figure it out then cut something else and waste my paper all over again! I’m a new cricut user so maybe this is a dumb question, but it’s trippin me up. I’m so glad you’re gonna explain the cards and envelopes in detail. That’s another one I seem to waste paper on!

Thanks for the opportunity! I’ll order it soon as I can get some mullaw together!!!

  • Kitt

Congrats on making the DVD. I would love to have a copy of the DVD. I have the cricut expression less then a year so I’m a toddler in cricut years and can use all the help I can get. I just recently found your blog and I’m enjoying all your tips and videos. thanks for sharing all you do.

  • Kathryn

I’ve only had my cricut for one month and am still learning something new about it every day. Your DVD would make a great companion. Thanks, Megan.

  • Mary S

I tried to cut cardboard & heavy chipboard and the blade kept skipping around. On multicut, it cut a different track each time. I had a hard time trying to size the pieces to go with the cut. The sizing showed weird numbers. I had a terrible time. I got so frustrated. I haven’t touched it since. I need help! I would love the video. I will have to put it on my wish list.

  • Kathy T

I ordered the DVD and cannot wait to receive it. I am working on some projects to send in for the contest. I have never done anything like this before so I am really excited. I found your website by watching one of your youtube videos. They are great! Thanks and good luck.

  • Milly

Does the dvd show how to work with the 2 different blades, pressure, speed, etc. on different material? What about the use of the Markers? I’m so looking forward to the DVD. It’s so easy to watch a Dvd than to try to find the answers in a manual.Great work and God Bless you.
