Let’s Start the New Year with a Design Team Call! 49

Hi everyone, Britten here today filling in for Megan…

If you follow Above Rubies on Facebook, you may have seen that Megan’s husband Sean was in a car accident last night.  He’s fine – but his face is badly brusied from the air bag and he’s very sore.   Please pray for a speedy recovery for Sean and some inner peace for Meg and the kids…it gave them all quite the scare.  So if things here at ARS and over at Club Ruby seem a bit slow for the next week or so, please bear with us.    But the good news is that the January Fun for Boys & Girls Club Ruby Kit  is available now at Craft-E-Corner, the Design Team has some great projects and tutorials posted using this fabulous kit, and Megan’s videos will be soon to follow.

The new year is bringing all sorts of wonderful and exciting changes to the Megan Elizabeth team and while we all feel truly blessed to be a part of it, we are still trying to catch our breaths from all wonderful-ness of 2011!

Now…let’s talk about the new Design Team Call!

DESIGN TEAM CALL

January 5 – January 24, 2012

We are looking for talented papercrafters for the Megan Elizabeth Design Team.

Being a part of the Megan Elizabeth Team means that you:

-Are the first to get the exclusive Megan Elizabeth Kit every month.

-Will showcase your creativity in a fast-growing and talented community of papercrafters.

-Have the opportunity to earn money doing what you love!

As a Megan Elizabeth Design Team member you will be required to:

-Use the kit sent to you to complete 4 projects every month, complete with detailed step-by-step instructions and high-definition pictures.

– Provide input, feedback and designs on an “as needed” basis for Megan Elizabeth & her team (for example: projects/ideas needed for Challenges, upcoming DVD’s, etc)

-Use your blog and social networks to promote your Design Team projects.

Here’s how to apply:

-Applicants must have an active blog where you routinely post pictures and write about your creations.

You must submit 2 original projects not previously published or posted anywhere (a blog, message board, online magazine, in print, etc).   We want to see new, fresh, original ideas!   Both projects should include a clearly written, detailed, step-by-step tutorial and several high-definition pictures that visually explain how to re-create your project:

*One project should be a layout with pictures and must have the theme “Summer Vacation”

*One  project can be a papercraft project of your choice (a second layout, 3-D project, home décor item, card etc).

In addition to the requirements above, all applications must include your first and last name, blog address and a brief history of your papercrafting experience.

Design Team Applications with all of the completed requirements must emailed by January 24 at midnight (est) to britten@aboverubiesstudio.com.  Any questions regarding any of the above can also be addressed to that email.

Good luck!

Britten

Edited to add: We will consider applicants from outside the United States!

Glad to hear that Sean is okay. WOW! What a way to start the new year! PHEW! Chin up. Just think of all the cute layouts you can do with photos of Sean’s bruised face!! 😀 (too soon? Just trying to make you smile) I’m always the scrapper………………………..there’s a layout in every situation in life! 😀 Hope your next few days go smoothly. 😀 Prayers and hugs.

Speedy recovery to Sean. Glad he is OK! Once I was in a car accident and as I was gripping the steering wheel, the air bag went off and broke the tip of my finger and also the bag beaned me right in the nose. Both of my hands hurt for a few weeks. Air bags are good for one reason, but hurtful in another.

So sorry to hear about Sean’s accident. Thank our Good Lord he is all right. And, Megan, I know that has to be a real shock. But he is with his family, albeit bruises, and that is most important. God Bless you all.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery. First for Sean and then for the trauma that you went through. We all imagine the worst when the news first reaches us. But, luckily, it was minor when it could have been much, much worse. I’m praying God will keep you in His hands throughout the year.

Thanks for letting us know what’s happening so we can pray! I saw the first facebook post and began to pray for Sean as well as all who love him and all who were caring for him (health care professionals.) Glad to hear he’s OK and beginning the healing process. Keep us updated so we can continue to pray!

I would love to apply to be part of this wonderful design team, but I am sure that as an international address I would not be accepted. Also I have made many papercraft projects, but never a layout. I love all that you do and would love to work with your kits but unfortunately I do tnot have the money to purchase them and being a design team member would be a dream come true. Thanks for the opportunity and God Bless you. I will be praying for Sean and the entire family.
    God Bless,
    Audrey

Megan, I am so thankful that Sean is really okay except for his poor face. I am so glad that you and the kids weren’t with him when this happened. I know this was a terrible shock for all of you and will take time to get over. All of us on Above Rubies are praying for you in this very hard time. Keep looking up.

How exciting to hear about such a fantastic opportunity. I only wish I had more experience to tackle this project and application. I am a beginner but learning fast!
Hopefully in the future there could be more opportunities to come like this one!!

  • Kathy Ferguson

  • Victoria C

  • Sharon Harrison

My prayers are with your family and especially Sean. It is always harder when the head of the house is not up to par. May God speed your recovery for your family.

  • Carol

Sean, wishing you a speedy recovery. Your guardian angle is watching over you. Megan you and your family are in my thoughts and pray. Take all the time you need, family is first priority; we’ll be here when you’re ready 😉

  • Glenda

I’m so, soooo sorry to hear of Sean’s accident, but I’m so happy to hear it wasn’t too serious. Sending good thoughts & prayers your way. But having your loved one in ANY sort of accident, serious or not, is absolutely terrifying, so I’m sending many good thoughts to Megan & the children as well. Sometimes these things can be a way to give us just a little reminder of how very precious each & every day on this earth really is. Megan, take some time off and worry about your main priority, Sean. In the grand scheme of things, he & your children are what really matter & all the rest of this pales in comparison. Will be keeping all of you in my prayers.

  • Moira Efird

I said a prayer for your family today, just for the recovery of an accident. But also want you to know that you bring such joy to me continually, that I keep you in prayer as my friend. Bless you all, and have a speedy recovery to 100%. Blessings, Moira
