My New Year Started with a Bang, Crash and a Boom! (Literally!) 61

Well Hello Everyone!!!

I am first going to say – I am sorry for the fact that I have not yet wished you ALL a happy and BLESSED 2012!  I REALLY am so excited for what 2012 is going to bring for ALL of us and I’m dying share a LOT –

So I’m going to host a LIVE UPDATE Show Tuesday January 10th, 2012 at 9:30pm EST – It will be hosted HERE at Ustream.tv/user/AboveRubies

I’m going to talk about a bunch of stuff that’s been going on! You’re going to love it – I have some fun prizes too! 😉

Like I said – this year started out with a bang, crash a boom for a reason!  I spent New Years Eve having my own little mini scrapbook retreat which was nice to get away before my husband, Sean, started a new job!  This is the first time in seven years Sean is going into an office to work (he’s worked from home until now).

Anyway, the first day of his NEW Job, He was on his way home and was rear-ended in a three car accident! Our car we just bought over the summer was totaled (a little tiny mazda Miata) and Sean was pretty banged up from impact of being a bitty sandwich in the middle! 🙁  Praise God he is ok – just a scary thing that happened.

We have a really great announcement of Changes to Above Rubies and Club Ruby Designers – We are going to be offering more Educational Classes for you that you can take on your own schedule and time, but without paying for shipping and other things that are involved with DVDs.  We have wonderful new Kits coming out for 2012 that have some REALLY unique and totally HOT new items in them – (Best part is – they are built for almost any budget!)

I have a lot I to talk about and instead of taking time to write out all the details of the New Design Team call we’re hosting, changes and giveaways for 2012 – Let’s just all chat together!

Grab some Coffee and a Snack Tuesday Night at 9:30pm EST and share with your friends to join along – you never know what surprises are in store!

See you then!

ENJOY THE MOMENTS!

Meg

So glad your husband is okay and I can not wait for the Live UStream. I am on a group with Facebook and have had a lot of questions about the gypsy and how it is to hard to learn. I told them run don’t walk to your site and buy that DVD. Best Money I Ever Spent. Several ladies have gotten back to me and now feel the same way about their gypsy as I do (Love It). and a couple more said they just ordered it last night. You Rock. Thank You for everything you do for us.

I’m very happy to hear Sean is on the road to recovery. I’ve kept him in my prayers ever since your first post about the accident.

I’ll be at the live UStream, as I love to watch you in person …. you just have so much energy you give me inspiration!

Love to your whole family …. see you Tuesday night!

Sorry to hear about Sean’s accident, but thank the Lord that he’s OK!
A new car can be replaced, but your loving family is a one time deal.

Oh, Megan, so glad that Sean is OK. I’ve pumped up the prayers for you and your family! Those Miatas are adorable but SMALL!! God was surely looking out for your hubby!! You coming to California for CHA?

Oh wish it was next week when I move to 4 days a week as I would have been home. Now I will miss it because I will be stuck at work here in Australia. MMmm wonder how the iPad reception is in the ladies lol. Will be able to see it on iPad or will we need a computer with FlashPlayer?

  • Monika

Great to hear that hubby is OK Meg. I sure would like to be there for the chat – but have no idea when 9.30pm EST is – I am in Australia. Will this be watchable at our leisure – even though we won’t have a chance to win any prizes, pppppppppppllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssseeeeeeeee.

First, happy new year to you!! I’m glad to hear Sean is OK. Starting a new job can be scary, but not for the reason he had!!!

I’m glad you’re going to be doing educational classes. I have 3 of your DVD’s and recommend them to everyone I know (and even some I don’t know). I’m looking forward to the next thing.

Happy to hear Sean is recovering. My son was also in an accident (not his fault) a couple of days before your hubby that totaled his car. Those airbags can be brutal. Then I fell a couple days later and broke my wrist. I’ll let you know how it is crafting with only my left hand. Since I am right handed I am finding many things a challenge. Anyway, looking forward to the Ustream and all the great things coming in 2012.

  • Cheryl

  • Carol Phillips

Glad your husband is doing ok, I would like to know if you will have posted what you discuss on Tuesday. I have to work and won’t be able to see it. I really enjoy watching you teach and have all your DVD’s. Please keep us all informed and thanks for all you do!

  • Heather Wostrel

Thank goodness Sean is alright! I would like to see the ustream, however my computer just bit the dust so I’m not sure it will work from my cell phone. I agree with some of the other posters & your helpful dvds, especially the gypsy one! I still need to get the imagine one. Looking forward to things to come for 2012.

  • Mabel

Yes…Praise God that Sean has made it through and will quicly recover! Can’t wait for Tuesday evening. Let’s hope that the rest of 2012 is a Very Happy New Year for you and Yours 🙂

  • Linda W

Happy to hear that Sean is on the mend. Things can only get better from here on in 2012 for you and your family. Hope I can get back home in time to join you tomorrow night. Seeing my parents before they fly to Florida. They stayed late up north this year to attend my daughter’s baby shower. I always chuckle when my friends and relatives ask me if I am excited becoming a grandparent and reply, “I’m not sure who is more excited, my parents becoming great grandparents or us (my DH and I) becoming grandparents. Yes, we are all thrilled and blessed.

  • Michelle N.

Happy New Year to you too. Glad Sean is alright. What a scare that must have been for both of you. Will you be recording the webcast? That’s way past my bedtime. Thanks for all you do for us.

  • DianaB

Sorry to hear about your husbands accident, but thank goodness he is ok. Looking forward to Tuesday night and all that is in store for us in 2012. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Hi Megan – I have a Miata, have had it for about 5 years. Love the car, luckily no accidents, the car in general gives more protection than it looks like it would give – but it is still a small car when tangling with larger vehicles, trucks or suv’s. God Bless that your husband is OK. Really looking forward to Tues eve!

  • Julie Warner

Wow what a beginning to the new year. Glad everyone is okay. It sounds like you have lots of exciting things coming up. I can’t wait! This will fit right in with my new years resolutions. So thanks for the support!

  • Debbie Z

I’m glad that your husband is alive and going to be fine. Poor car. Oh, I’m sorry I’ll be missing the U-stream but we are on the road traveling for a long vacation and hopefully will reach our destination on Thursday. Looking forward to fun in the sunshine! Thanks for all that you do.

  • Marta V.

Happy New Year to you too Megan!!! Congrats on your husband’s new job and glad he is doing well after his accident!!! So glad to hear that! Super excited to hear all the new upcoming stuff. Are you planning on attending CHA in Anaheim this year? I will be there on Sunday and maybe Monday.

  • Ruth G

Again, glad to hear that everyone is safe and sound, except for the car – but thank goodness it gave itself to keep your hubby safe! Can’t wait to hear what’s up for ARS this year! Your Live Update will happen right when it’s time for my baby (OK, he’s 10 years old, but he’s still my baby) goes to bed so I’ll have to get out the good ‘ole headphones so I can listen in without causing too much of a disturbance! I hope there’s a reminder Tuesday to remind me…

  • Penny J

So sorry to hear about your husbands accident. So happy to hear he’s okay… be it bruised and banged is better than not here… Your classes sound so wonderful! Happy New Year to you as well!

    Aloha!
Glad to hear of your husband’s speedy recovery and his new job away from home!
I hope I can catch the Ustream, I’ll be on a trip and I’ll only have my ipad. Hopefully I can catch a recast?
Anyway, have a Happy 2012 Year!

  • Shelly

Hi Megan, What a way to start the New Year … Happy to hear that hubby is ok … unfornately I won’t be able to make the Upstream this time around. I have a prior appt. I ended my 2011 year with a bang myself… 2 visits to the hospital. It was scary for me to say the least. The last visit was regarding heart problems which have been corrected. God has blessed me as he has all of us in His Care. God Bless, Shelly

  • Deborah

I hope you will have the vidoe of the stream on your web site as I will be at my scrapbook club at that time here on the west coast. I hope to see you at CHA!!

  • Tina Michael-Dahlmann

Megan, Most importantly. I am thankful that Sean is safe and pray for a speedy healing. Congratulations and best wishes to Sean on his new job. Can’t wait for tonight to hear all your news. I’ll be there waiting for you. Until then…

Megan, sorry to hear about your hubby’s accident but thankful as I know you are that he is alright. I plan on watching at 9:30 tonight. I have a question, WHERE IS THE RIBBON STORE? Thanks for all the great information on new products or ways to use old ones. Keep it coming.

  • MommyMe

I am so sorry for Sean, but glad he’s okay. Beginning a new year isn’t all it’s cracked up to be…My grandmother passed away on New Year’s Eve, and my 5 year old daughter will be having surgery on Monday. Nonetheless, my Grandmother will no longer suffer. Hopefully, my daughter will be in better health after the surgery, too! She loves to craft with me, so we’re keeping the smiles up with lots of projects! I can’t wait to hear about what’s new for you this year!
